Boobs and The Rescuers

In 1999 Disney recalled 3.4million copies of ‘The Rescuers’ because of this:

The film was made in 1977, and a picture of a topless woman had been inserted into the film post production. It had gone unnoticed until the development of VHS and the ability to pause ‘frame by frame.’

Consequently, when word of the ‘objectionable background image’ got out, people rushed out in their thousands to buy the film. Marketing genius? Possibly. Funny? YES!

  1. This is hilarious. I believe they add these type of bloopers on purpose. Well, it keeps people entertained and it is a great way to keep sales up. I like viewing these bloopers. I wonder what the children think and what do you say to them when they ask?

  3. I can’t believe this! We had this on VHS and gave it away to Goodwill a few years ago.

I’m sure I am on some donation blacklist now for donating Disney smut.
