It’s Over – Summer Begins Here!

imageI can’t actually believe it. After months of a proverbial roller coaster ride consisting of the highest of highs, followed by the lowest of lows, it’s done. I was feeling a little bit rough after going out with my colleagues and indulging in cocktails for the second night in a row, but I gave my leaving speech, gratefully accepted lots of lovely cards and gifts, said goodbye to my form and staff and did my final performance with the most talented group of students I’ve ever had the privilege of working with.

Ok, it’s not quite done, I still have to go in on Monday to tidy up my classroom and hand everything in, but to all intents and purposes, the summer, and the start of my new life, begins here.

And I have so much to catch up on, both in the real and online world. Here is what to expect from Suzie Speaks over the weekend:

Tomorrow is my Summer Blog Party. It will start at 9.00am GMT, and you are welcome to share up to three posts of your choice from your blog, but sharing them ONE AT A TIME. Then, go and visit other participants, find new blogs to follow, chat, and get to know more of the blogging community. In my last party, there were about eight hundred comments in just a day… It’s a brilliant way to meet new people!

I will be announcing a new exciting project that you can all participate in over the Summer that will allow you to to get to know each other a little bit better in the blogging world…

I will also be telling you about my invitation to try out the food and cocktails at a new restaurant in Birmingham this week… Best night I’ve had in ages!

And finally, I have been nominated in two categories, including the Most Inspiring Blogger award, at the annual Bloggers Bash Awards that I will be attending in London on August 1st… I’m honoured, and would love you to vote for me! Simply click the image below…

    • Thanks Deb! It’s weird, I used to be able to go out every night until the early hours and party hard, then get up and go to work the next day without feeling anything but tired. Now, it takes me a week to get over the hangover!
