Suzie Speaks Summer Blog Party!

imageIt has been quite a while since I last hosted a blog party, and I absolutely love them! It’s the beginning of summer, and for me its the beginning of a new chapter, so I’m determined to celebrate in style! For those of you that have never participated in one before, the rules are simple:

1. Choose your favourite post from your own blog. The subject of the post can be anything you like – blogging, food, parenting, life, travel, thoughts, photography… Note: This should be only one post at a time or it will get sent straight to the ‘spam’ folder and I may not be able to find you for a while. You can share up to three links, and for maximum impact I would suggest that you wait a little while in between posting them rather than in one go.

2. Paste the link to your post in the comment section of this post and feel free to write a little bit about yourself and/or your blog.

3. Enjoy! Relax, pull up a chair, meet new people! Find new blogs, comment on their posts, follow, reblog and share. Let them know that you met them here! This is a really useful way of discovering new blogs, particularly if you have only just joined the blogging world and when I have participated in similar things I have really enjoyed them!

You don’t have to follow me to participate, you don’t have to be an established blogger – you could have written just a single post – and feel free to invite your friends! I will leave it open all weekend, so if you can’t join in now you can come back at any time over the next few days!

Want to find new blog immediately? Check out my lovely sponsors in my sidebar!

I’ve also been nominated in two categories – ‘Inspirational Blogger’ and ‘Services To Blogging’ at the UK Bloggers Bash Awards, which I will be attending on 1st August in London! I would love it if you would hop on over and give me your vote – simply click the image for the link!

Feel free to share this post on all of your social media accounts too! You can find me on Twitter and Tumblr @suzie81blog, and don’t forget to visit my Facebook page  my Instagram page and my Pinterest page

Have a wonderful time!

  1. Hi guys, this is my third and final post:
I recently took a trip to Indonesia and thought you guys might like to see!
I’m sat here in my PJ’s enjoying all of your posts, and will be here until the early hours (It’s 10pm here) reading, chatting and connecting with everyone!

Thanks again Suzie, this has been a Saturday well spent!! 🙂

  2. I’m so excited for you and your new chapter, Suzie, and I always love your parties. There are fabulous new blogs to be read at your parties!
Here is one of my favorite posts (I debated for a long while this morning trying to decide which one to choose!) “Sex Scenes”

For those of you new to my blog, I have a ton of epic dating mishaps, and try to look upon the craziness with humor. There are love stories, sex stories, posts in which I write about creepy Craigslist ads, and basically whatever is on my mind. I chose the tag line “confessions of a rambling wino” and I think it quite fits my little blog!

  3. Reblogged this on Hugh's Views & News and commented:
There’s a blog party going on over at Suzie’s today, and I’ve just arrived at it.

Come on over and join in the fun . Meet other bloggers and leave up to three links to some of your very own favourite posts (links must be posted separately and not all at the same time).

I’ve even made some home-made vol-au-vents for the occasion, and bought a bottle of sweet sherry to share 🙂

  4. I love a good summer party. It’s a little dreary here today outside of Boston in northeast Massachusetts so an indoor party is perfect.

My blog is fromthestickstothebricksandbackagain. I started it to have a vehicle that would encourage me to write more. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I tend to write and post in spurts; sort of like everything else I do in life. As I’m about to head into kitchen to bake chocolate chip cookies, I thought I would share my post on just that –

Thanks Susie for hosting a brilliant summer party.

  5. Hello and thank you sooooo much to the dear, sweet Suzie for hosting this wonderful Summer Blog Party! I’m Cher, & I have a blog called, “The Chicago Files”. As a Canadian living in Chicago, I love to write and post photos about the city, people I meet, and general musings from a “Canuck” perspective. My first link of the party is a post I wrote about the Chicago Elevated Trains (the, “L” as the locals call it).

  6. Hello Suzie – this is really exciting. Never been to a Blog Party before!!! I started a blog to promote my book, but the blogging took on a life of it’s own. I write about anything and everything – from cute puppies, to ghost stories to whatever. Here is a link to my post I did on the Chicken Man – it’s all about appreciating the people we never appreciate.
    Hope this works!

  7. Here is my second post Suzie’s Summer Blog Party! We took, “The Chicago Files” on the road, as it were, all the way to Long Beach, California. And look what we saw! The majestic ship, “The Queen Mary”, built in Scotland. The post is called, “The Queen Mary – What a Marvelous Maiden” I hope you like it! Thank you, Suzie dear! Cher xo

  8. I have my glow sticks & bracelets ready, lets do this! *dances like a mom who thinks she’s cool*
Link to my Tuesdays of Texture post. I do one of these every Tuesday and everyone is welcome to join and share a bit of their part of the world.

I like this so I might share a couple more links later. Will be going around to meet some fellow bloggers 🙂

Thanks for hosting this Suzie! I’m following you!

    • I’ve suddenly had a flashback to permed hair and glow sticks in the 90’s… Thanks so much for sharing your link – feel free to grab a chair and have a chat with all the lovely bloggers participating…

  9. Hi everyone! My name is Lisa or L and my blog is Life of an El Paso Woman. I blog about different topics such as: Movies, current events, things that are happening in my hometown, (El Paso, Texas), life, books, parenting, the Hispanic culture, interviews, etc. It’s sometimes hard to stick with one or two subjects ;). I included a recent movie review I did on the movie, McFarland, USA. The movie took me back to my teenage years of running track and cross country, along with attending quinceaneras or 15th birthday parties. Nice to meet everyone!

  10. My third post at this awesome party (thank you again, Suzie!) is about some rather unusual looking buildings here in Chicago. Let’s just say you’d be hard pressed not to notice these unusual architectural oddities in Chicago! The post is called, “Marina City – Why do I get hungry looking at these buildings?” Thanks so much for the great fun, Suzie! Cher xo
