As the theme of today is ‘Happy,’ I figured that this picture of Daisy’s excitement at the football a few years ago would be appropriate. Plus, she reminds me a little of Stimpy…
I often find that blogging motivation, ideas and productivity seems to happen in waves. For a while, I’ve been really struggling to have a consistent things to talk about, and then today I woke up with a whole host of ideas. However, after sitting down and attempting to draft some of these into different topics, I quickly realised that it would be far more productive to condense it all into a single post. I may regret this tomorrow when I get bloggers block again, but we’ll see…
It’s been a busy and totally fulfilling few days, and I’ve had that ridiculous Ren & Stimpy going round in my head on repeat… Happy, happy, joy, joy…
I love writing that. Fulfilling.
I’ve continued with the supply work, only doing three days a week, and have developed a timetable in which they coincide with the freelance workshops that I am delivering to various groups of cherubs after the school day has ended. The lessons have been relaxed and the kids have quickly realised that Miss, the supply teacher, will not accept apathy and laziness in the same way that Miss, the classroom teacher didn’t accept apathy and laziness, and as a result haven’t even attempted to act out. I’ve also loved the workshops – I had an absolute blast working with a group of highly talented (and, quite frankly, hilarious) group of students during an a capella vocal rehearsal yesterday and left with an enormous buzz. I’ve missed this. Indeed, I needed this.
Fulfilling. Ah, even better the third time.
Consequently, I haven’t been able to get online as much as I would like, so I was gobsmacked when I saw the response to my last post: Bloggers Behaving Badly. Wow. Hundreds of comments (most of which I’ve been unable to reply to yet), shares, emails… It’s going to take me a little while to catch up, so I wanted to take the opportunity now to say thank you. There’s nothing more satisfying than creating something that you’re proud of, and receiving positive feedback from people that you respect and admire.
My running numbers have arrived for the half-marathon in a few weeks, and I checked my Just Giving page to see where the balance was up to. I almost fell off my chair – there have been over £300 worth of donations in less than a week, and much of this has come from the blogging community. Again, thank you – the charity means an awful lot to me and I’m humbled by everyone’s generosity…

Any amount will be greatly appreciated… It’s all going to a good cause!
And to to add a lovely cherry on the icing? The 2nd Annual Bloggers Bash has been scheduled for 2016, and I couldn’t be more excited! For those of you who are unaware of this, I attended the 1st Annual Bloggers Bash at the beginning of August, and had a truly wonderful time meeting lots of my lovely fellow bloggers and winning two awards that I had been nominated for by the blogging community. Fabulous. I’ll be there, with a mojito in the air, and I’m hoping that you will join us! It’s being organised by the lovely Sacha Black – hop on over and sign up!

Me too haha! Yes it is!
Your happiness is contagious! It is lovely to read such a positive post 🙂
Thanks my lovely!
And now I have that song in my head.
I don’t think you’re happy enough. I’ll teach you to be happy. I’ll teach your grandmother to suck eggs!
Haha! Any suggestions are always appreciated!
You’re welcome.:) I adore the blogging community, and being a part of yours reminds me that not all of them are bad, negative, etc.., that there are still good people in the world.
It sounds like you’ve had some negative experiences? Take a look down the comments here – almost every one of them is someone who I have been getting to know for a while and they’re truly fantastic people… Feel free to go and say hello!
I am so glad that we could all make your day, Suzie! As a new follower of yours, I feel honored to be a part of your journey.:) I’m looking forward to your future posts!
Thanks so much, what a lovely thing to say – you’re very welcome! It’s a lovely community here – feel free to hop over to everybody’s blogs and stay hi!
So you are musical, as well as everything else? That is amazing. So glad you put all your thoughts in this post. You’ve put a smile on my face!
Thanks my lovely! Yeah, I’m a music teacher – I’m a classically trained violinist by trade I suppose… I went to a music conservatoire to get my degree and then realised that it wasn’t for me, but i still play occasionally.
My goodness! Is there anything you don’t do??? 🙂
Haha!
Glad there will be a 2nd bloggers bash!
Are you going to come along to this one instead of skiving off on holiday? You owe me and hugh a drink 😉
This week, rather than come up with stories that continue the blog’s mythology, I’ve just sat down and written whatever madness popped into my head. You know what? I’ve loved doing it.
Just write. It’s your blog. Do whatever makes you happy. 🙂
Couldn’t agree more – and I’m off over to your place in a minute to catch up on your madness…
It is madness. 🙂
Congrats my friend! It is lovely to get the response you are hoping for! Nothing better! I am glad for you, and taking your advice (from your post)!
Thanks so much my lovely – always appreciated!
Your good mood put a smile on my face and made my morning even better
