It’s November, which means that #NaBloPoMo is officially underway, and for once I’ve decided to throw myself into it instead of hopping in and out.
The idea of posting every day for a month initially seemed quite daunting, particularly as I know that I’m going to be busy at work, so it’s a good thing that this last week has been filled with tales of family and friends, an epic blog party, a break up (not mine), wedding plans (not mine), How I Got Away With Murder and a large hall full of Lego.
However, it’s late and I’m up early for work tomorrow, so I thought I’d introduce you to the newest addition to the household. I bought him this afternoon, and can’t decide a name for him… Any suggestions?
How about PoMo? Very cute elephant by the way 🙂
Thanks! I quite like the idea – I’m going to think about it until tomorrow…
How about Wrinkly?
Good luck in the challenge! I’m doing it too! Your elephant is cute. It looks like he has a name tag that says Tiger, which is kind of funny. 🙂
I like PoMo!
Our dogs destroy any stuffed animal that we don’t put on a high shelf…
I could never do a post a day for an entire month. I just couldn’t.
You’ve inspired me! I need to get back into blogging after a crazy October, so I’m going to give this a go. Not sure if I’ll make it, but it’s worth a try 🙂 Good luck!
I believe his name tag says “Tiger”. That’s a weird name for an elephant…
Today makes it exactly three years that I’ve been writing a post a day. That’s some iron man streak, huh?
A straight month of blogging is an ambitious undertaking, but I’m sure you are up to the task! Task…tusk…Tusk? Good elephant name?
Howard?
I signed up to do the challenge for the first time! Good Luck! … Sweet Elephant, too! 🙂
I can’t wait to read your posts! And the elephant looks a lot like Ribbed to me. Or Tiger (as in comment above!).
You’re doing it? You are crazy, but good luck!
In the US we do NaNoWriMo – National Novel Writing Month. The basic idea is to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. It doesn’t have to get published – ever – and it can be a pile of crap, but you have to write the 50,000 words in order to win. I don’t do this – ever – but lots of folks are dedicated. I’m going to sit back and observe all my British friends writing furiously on their blogs and all my American friends writing furiously on their novels, and I’m going to enjoy working at my own pace.
May all you writers have a great and productive time.
Takes me all my time to write one post in a week – one post a day would just not happen. Personally I am very traditional and I like Dumbo..
Moose.
Corduroy!
Harry Hefalump ..
I’ve been wondering what to do this year since I don’t have an idea for a novel. I may make it national editing month even though it’s originally in January because life has gotten in the way of doing serious edits to my novel from last year. Good luck writing!
Good luck to all the takers of this challenge. This is an inspiring challenge!
The girls post weekly and have been thinking a go at it for an educational or scientific quote a day for a day (or science find) but thought people would bore of it quickly. What do you think. They are pretty young but enthusiastic!
good luck; I’m sure you can
Thanks Geoffle!
Um, can has elephant?
Haha!
