It’s funny how little traditions unintentionally build up over the years. I’m sitting in my jammies, waiting for mum to get back with the Chinese take-away. We’ve got a selection of cheeses ready for later, accompanying the extremely cheesy film ‘Babycakes’ starring Ricki Lake – a film that we watch every year. The presents are wrapped and placed on the sideboard (due to the dogs always taking an interest in them). It’s just me and mum – my sisters haven’t spent Christmas Eve with us in a long time, and it’s quiet. I realised that this is the same routine we’ve re-enacted every single year, and I wouldn’t have it any other way (although I wouldn’t say no to a lottery win…)
This year has been a life-changing, exciting roller coaster of a ride, and while I’m going to save my review of 2015 for next week, I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you. Thanks for your support, your encouragement and your friendship. Wherever you are, and whoever you’re with, I hope that this holiday season is a peaceful and happy one…
Happy Christmas xx
Thx Suzie………. and all the very best to you. Should I envy you (being 5 hours ahead of us and having Christmas before us), or smile with sadness (yeh right!) because your “main event” will be over when we are just starting! 🙂 Have a good one! 🙂
Thanks my lovely! Have a wonderful Christmas
Happy Christmas, Suzie x
And you Sue! X
Merry Christmas to you and the bloke, Suzie!!! 🎅🏻
Thanks Richard – and to you!
Anxiety provoking, but good.
Anxiety provoking? You ok?
I’m sort of OK. No suicidal thoughts -none at all, but I’m pretty manic and very anxious. More mania than anxiety, but the mania can’t be blamed on Christmas. 🙂 My sister in law, who also has bipolar is even more manic than me, bad enough that she’s making very bad decisions and acting very strange.
I’m sorry to hear that – I hope you’re able to feel more peaceful soon!
Likewise.
Thanks!
Merry Christmas Susie
And you my lovely!
Have a cool Yule!
Haha! Haven’t heard that in years! You too Steve

Merry Christmas!
And to you my lovely! How was your Christmas?
Very good! 😀 my son was sick with a childhood milestone type illness (almost all the kids get it) but by that point he was is excited good spirits. We showed him how to unwrap presents… Nothing was safe! Lol!
Haha! I can imagine! Sorry he was ill – chicken pox?
Something like that, it’s called Hand, Foot, and Mouth- the kid gets these blisters on his or her hands, feet, and worst- inside his mouth! The ones on the feet and hands are not bad, they don’t itch or hurt. It’s the in the mouth ones, it hurts and they don’t want to eat. He’s all better now and thankfully he did not get any in his mouth!
Oh I know what you mean – a friend’s child had that recently… Glad he’s better!
Everyone thought I was crazy when I told them what Connor had! Glad you actually knew what it was! Thanks for the well wishing!
It’s one of those where it sounds horrific and some really bad disease but it’s actually really common…
Exactly!
Sounds like a very good Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Have a great week Suzie.:-)
Thank you my lovely – how was yours?
Hi Suzie! Sorry I am just getting back into the swing of things. Our two Christmas’ were good. My family got together Christmas eve, and Tom’s side got together here at our house on New Year’s day. It was a busy day with a three year old nephew, and a one month old nephew. Everyone ate too much on both days and I am glad the holidays are over for another year. I am wore out. Hope you had a good start to the New Year. 🙂
Sound like you are exactly where you want to be – how nice that you have all you need.
Absolutely! How was your Christmas Sharon?
Chanukah – Christmas – busy busy, full of family and fun and friends and food and more parties than we’ve had in one season. Also some very stressful incidents but not writing about them – just indicating the balance. Nearly 2016, a wedding to attend on New Year’s Eve (never done this before) – looking forward to better moments for all.
aww that’s wonderful- glad you have a good time!
Thank you Suzie and good to hear all is on track. I need to take a leaf out of your blog writing book for 2016. With an eminent move to Brisbane I am finding my time focused on other matters. Happy new year to you!
I can imagine Lucy – I’ve moved house twice in the last 4 years and it takes over everything! All the best for the new year!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and will have an amazing and successful New Year! Thanks for your support as well.
Thanks my lovely!
Sweet traditions. I’m with you on putting goodies up high! Glad you had a peaceful Christmas.
