After attempting to take many photographs that would flatter the product, I realised that I wasn’t doing it justice, so I took this image directly from the Love Shea Facebook page…
I’ve always stated that I’m not a beauty blogger, but over recent months I have developed an obsession with skincare, particularly when it is organic and natural. I was delighted when Love Shea asked me if I would try out one of their whipped shea butters.
Love Shea is an artisan beauty company that is based in the north of the UK, and produces natural and organic vegan-friendly products for use on both the skin and hair.
I was even more pleased when I received the ‘Bakewell Tart’ scented butter (being my favourite dessert), and it certainly smells good enough to eat!
I have issues with intense dry patches of skin on my hands and arms, particularly during the cold weather, so I tested it on the worst affected areas for a while. In the first application, I loved the whipped mousse-like texture, but I think that I used too much of it in one go as it took a long time to sink in. Over the next applications, I used a much smaller amount which was much more effective.
Lots of shea butters need warming up to provide a smooth application, but I found that this was ready to use immediately. I was initially a little concerned about just how strong the scent of the butter would be, but after application I found that it leaves a subtle, sweet smell that complimented my skin and didn’t overpower any additional perfume I was wearing. I like it – I think it’s a lovely product and a little certainly goes a long way!
I discovered that Love Shea does a huge range of scented butters and souffles, from Key Lime Pie, to Chocolate Fudge, Lemon-Lime and Vanilla, and also offer natural soaps, Fairtrade argan oil and body scrubs. Yum! Best of all, they only use organic and natural ingredients.

Can this be purchased in the US? I’m wondering if I could order it online without paying $20 in shipping. š
I’m not sure – contact them via their website.
I will. Sounds awesome!
Mmmm tasty š
I know haha!
I love shea butter products as well as argan oil. How lucky you were to have gotten samples. Maybe they’ll start marketing in the US – shipping costs are usually outrageous. Please let us know the long term effects on your dry skin areas.
I certainly will! Thanks Sharon!
Looks lovely! I’ll definitely be checking out their site š You do have a tough job, don’t you? xx
It’s a struggle at the minute, yes haha!
