Ok 2016, You Can Stop It Now…

It’s only April, but 2016 has been brutal already. After just logging onto Twitter, I saw that Prince was trending, only to discover that he has passed away at the age of 57 (???). This comes only 24 hours after we lost British comedy legend Victoria Wood, and adds to an increasingly long and heartbreaking list of true icons who have left us this year – David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Lemmy, Paul Daniels and Ronnie Corbett to name just a few…

Right 2016, I think we’ve had enough now. You suck.

If anything happens to Jon Bon Jovi I’m not getting out of bed for the rest of the year.

RIP Prince. I’m going to go and put Purple Rain on repeat now…

  1. Wah! Prince??? I am with you, just stop it now, 2016. That’s one hell of a house band someone is assembling in the afterlife. I am just gutted – Purple Rain was a teenage soundtrack.

RIP to his Royal Purpleness 😦

  2. I’m stunned, just watching a Victoria wood show not realising its a tribute. So upset .. Was singing ‘Kiss’ most of yesterday, can’t believe Prince is now gone x

  3. I’m with you. I have a fear the celestial script writers are planning a real biggie.. I heard Brucie wasn’t well enough to attend Ronnie Corbett’s funeral.

  4. I keep crying every time I see the feeds on FB and Twitter. Saw him live three times and he was the most incredible artist I’ve ever seen. Gutted and heartbroken. RIP

    • Aww no Shelley, I’m really sorry. One of my closest friends has seen him in concert a number of times and even has posters of him on her bedroom wall. She was in bits…

  5. I’m still not over Alan Rickman! Might not be for quite some time. Loved him! Was completely shocked about Prince. “When Doves Cry” was my favorite.
