Blog of the Day: Deb’s World

debs-world

Meet Debbie, the creator of Deb’s World.

As a lifestyle blogger, she has one of the most interesting ‘About Me’ pages that I’ve ever seen. Here’s just a small selection…

I am Debbie – I am a wife; mother; daughter; sister; friend; blogger; reader; runner; walker; cyclist; Rail Trail enthusiast; traveller; Rotarian; Whovian; teacher.

And now I’m a retiree!!  Very early retirement!

I have three beautiful daughters who are all grown up and making their own way in the big wide world. I like to write about my family…

I am into keeping healthy and have learnt how to run again. I feel fantastic as a result of my efforts and I sometimes blog about my  running journey.

Travelling is in my family’s blood and I love to blog about our travels.  Now that we’re retired we will have lots more time to indulge in this passion. I have a page dedicated to our adventures and travels.

I’m also an avid reader and document all the books I read during the year…

NOTE: You should head over there and read more (I couldn’t include all of it or it would have been an enormously long post), including why she has retired early and Ten Interesting Things to know about her.

I love everything about Debbie’s blog – the layout, the photographs, the topics… there is so much that I can personally relate to and I love her honesty and openness about her life experiences and things that she enjoys. In particular, I’m very jealous of the images that she shares of the places that she has seen – I’ve certainly added a few places to my bucket list because of her posts…

And yet, for someone so talented, she is incredibly modest and a lovely person – she’s been an integral part of my Facebook group since it began and her comments and support of others have been instrumental in it’s growth.

Enjoy posts about travel? Running? Reading? Family? Then this is the blog for you – hop on over, say hello and click follow!

  1. Thanks so much Suzie! I’m thrilled Ben Ng your Blog of the Day and especially your kind words. I’ve woken up on the other side of the world to find this post waiting and it’s made my day (and it’s only just started here). I’m off for a trek in the Aussie bush today with about 120 others on a day that looks like getting to 38 degrees Celsius (that’s very HOT) so wish me luck!! Thanks again xx

  2. Thanks for your kind words and the recommendation Suzie, I’m so pleased to be featured on your blog. You are very supportive and encouraging and I always appreciate your help.:)
