Suzie Speaks Blog Party!

Welcome to my blog party!

I haven’t hosted a blog party in a very long time, and there are a few things that I would like to take the opportunity to celebrate:

  • Suzie Speaks hit 20,000 collective followers a little while ago
  • I am getting married next week
  • Halloween is approaching

I thought it would be a brilliant opportunity to create a space for the blogging community to share a few links from their blog and potentially meet new people. I always have a great time, with hundreds of links being shared, and it means that I get the chance to find new blogs to follow and catch up on some posts that I have missed.

For those of you who have never participated in a blog party before, here are the rules:

1. Choose your favourite post from your own blog. The subject of the post can be anything you like – blogging, food, parenting, life, travel, thoughts, photography… Note: This should be only ONE post overall and should be from your blog – I will delete any posts shared for someone else – and spend the time visiting other bloggers instead.

2. Copy the URL

3. Paste the link in the comment section of this post.

4. Make sure that it is blog posts only please! No Amazon pages, YouTube, Spotify, group boards, Facebook groups or Etsy promotion – I will delete these and any further links from anyone who ignores this.

5. Enjoy! Relax, pull up a chair and meet new people! Find new blogs, comment on their posts, be polite, courteous and respectful and don’t forget to follow, reblog, tweet, pin, stumble and share.

* Comment directly on someone’s POST, not in the comment section of this post if you are responding to them. ‘Nice post’ is not an acceptable comment – make it meaningful.
* Retweet my pinned tweet on Twitter to invite more people.
* You don’t have to follow me of any of my social media, but you’re welcome to!
* You don’t have to have been blogging for a specific amount of time or have to have a certain number of followers – everyone is welcome!
* You are also very welcome to invite your friends and you’re welcome to reblog this post too!

This is a really useful way of discovering new blogs, particularly if you have only just joined the blogging world – the general rule that I set myself when I participate is that I check out at least two or three other bloggers if I am sharing a link.

The blog party will be open for 48 hours to give everyone within each timezone the chance to participate.

If you would like to join some Pinterest group boards, I am a social media manager for Pinterest and have numerous clients that are looking for high quality contributors – send me a PM on my Pinterest

You can find me on Twitter and Tumblr @suzie81blog, and don’t forget to follow my Facebook page, my Pinterest page and my Instagram page

  1. Good morning to all πŸ™‚

First of all, congratulations Suzy!! I wish you too nothing but the best πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I saw that some people brought coffee and hot chocolate already, for this early mingling… So I baked some muffins for your guests and brought baskets of them, for everyone to enjoy! (Yeah, that’s the fun of fantasy-baking, I can pretend I have everything necessary to make huge amounts of yum treats at home – including the talent LOL)

I am Cyranny, and you can find me in my Cove, a “convenient blog” where you’ll find a little of everything… Fiction, poetry, anecdotes, pictures, humor… Depending on my feelings “du moment”. Here is a short poem (I never know what to share in these gatherings, since my posts are so different from one another… hehehe) to introduce my home away from home πŸ™‚

I love interacting, so if you come by, please wave!

Ok… on my way to meet some of you now πŸ™‚

Cheers to our host, and a good day to you all! xx

  2. Hi everyone! Huge Congratulations, dear Suzie! Brilliant! I’m sooooo happy for you! Here is a post I wrote about my last day volunteering at a center for blind/low vision folks. I am tearing up just writing this, recalling the flooding of emotions that washed over me that day. I sure hope you enjoy it. Thank you, Suzie!

  3. First and foremost. Congratulations on you upcoming wedding. πŸ₯‚πŸ₯‚πŸ₯‚ also congrats on all your other achievements. You’ew a super star and me mentor. Thanks for all the help provided and still giving. Thank you for this opportunity to share here on your blog. I am about to make this again today as the first batch disappeared way to fast. Hope you will also enjoy it as much as we do. Es’s Gluten Free with Pumpkin Seeds and Apricot Biscotti:-

  4. Hi! Congratulations on your success, and I hope your big day goes beautifully. The best bit of advice I was given was to make sure you stop and pause often enough to take everything in. You’ll be so busy that the day goes past in a blur otherwise. Im new to blogging, but this was yesterday’s reflection on being asked to produce a cake at the last moment for the school Autumn fair.

  5. Hi,
I am Janice. I look forward to meeting more of Suzie’s community.
My favorite post is a recent expert interview I conducted. I interviewed 45 experts about how to avoid ever running out of blog post topics. The post was quite well received when it came to page views and social shares, so I am proud of it. It took me months. Here is the link:
Thanks Suzie for this opportunity and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

  6. Thanks so much Suzie for hosting this blog party!! I love them, such a good way to meet new bloggers!! Sitting here all comfy on the couch getting stuck into all these amazing blogs!!

  7. Congratulations! I can’t wait to hear all about it when you return.

October is my favorite month of the year with the crisp, cooler weather, the smells, and the changing leaves, but summer in my neck of the woods can be pretty great too, though it can get hot. Really, really hot. My post is about one such summer day spent with my youngest son searching for waterfalls. It was a day which will remain ever etched in my memory

  8. Congrats Suzie, I can’t wait to see all the pictures of your wedding! I know it will be a wonderful day for all of you and I also know you’ll share that joy with all of us. πŸ™‚
So happy you’re having a blog party, your parties are always a lovely way to find new blog friends. Here’s a link to my latest post, back from a blogging break, hope folks will drop by and visit, maybe stay a while (who knows, they might never want to leave).
Off to visit and share. Thanks again, Suzie, for this party and for #SundayBlogShare and for everything you do for bloggers everywhere.
Hope this weekend treats you kindly, all the best for your wedding (and Halloween of course). πŸ™‚ xox

  9. Hi Suzie, sorry I am late to the party, but I am glad I got here. It looks like it is in full swing. Congratulations on reaching 20 000 followers, that is so amazing, but I am not surprised and you deserve it for all the hard work you have put in.
Hi to anyone that doesn’t know me. I am Judy, formerly of Edwina’s Episodes, but I have a new blog which I am building up. I would love you to come and visit me, and if you like a but of humour then I am sure you will enjoy yourself at my place!

  10. Okay, if I end up with two comments I apologize. WordPress has been acting up horribly this evening, and my first comment disappeared. Not the first time this has happened but it is frustrating. Anyway,…….here is what I said,…
What a fun idea! Can’t wait to read about the wedding!!! I’ve already seen some blogs I can’t wait to view. Tomorrow I have decided will be a stay at home all day day, so I look forward to reading some of these blog pages! While I have a few blogs that I am partial to, the one I’m posting is my most recent. It is what is near and dear to my heart and thoughts right now. For those who don’t know me I blog about an eclectic group of subjects, so come on over for a visit anytime!
