Daily Gratitude Challenge Day 24: Random Acts of Kindness

In an effort to inject some positivity into my daily mindset and the online world I have created a Daily Gratitude Challenge and I am inviting everyone to participate. If you have missed my introductory post that explains the challenge and maps out the daily post schedule, visit here.

Daily Gratitude Challenge Acts of Kindness

Day 24 of the Daily Gratitude Challenge is all about random acts of kindness.

Acts of Kindness I Am Grateful For

Daily Gratitude Challenge Acts of Kindness(1)

There’s nothing nicer than being the recipient of an unexpected act of kindness, and particularly over this year I have witnessed many. Here are some of my favourites:

I’m grateful for the man who paid for my mum’s petrol, for the people at the supermarket who moved her to the front of the queue at the supermarket and the cashier who bought her a bar of chocolate as a thank you  – all of these acts of kindness were from random strangers because she works for the NHS.

I got caught in the rain before lockdown and consequently my paper bag full of toiletries practically disintegrated on the bus. The man sitting next to me on the bus home pulled out a plastic bag from his rucksack and handed it to me as I was desperately grappling with my items to prevent them from falling out everywhere.

When my cat passed away a few years ago, my friend bought round a box of homemade cupcakes.

Multiple friends have given me lifts home from somewhere after we have been out (before lockdown) to avoid me having to use public transport late at night.

My friend has frequently bought me things that she knows that I like (including cake, macarons and my favourite cheese) when she has been shopping, just because.

A woman walked over to me last year and complimented my hair. Totally random, but made me feel good.

A bloggy friend not only invited me to visit her and her family, but as it was near my birthday she put some wrapped birthday presents and a card on my pillow in the guest bedroom.

My neighbour across the road regularly rescues and fosters all sorts of animals, and takes the time to educate local youngsters who takes an interest in them.
