Daily Gratitude Challenge Day 25: Showing Gratitude

In an effort to inject some positivity into my daily mindset and the online world I have created a Daily Gratitude Challenge and I am inviting everyone to participate. If you have missed my introductory post that explains the challenge and maps out the daily post schedule, visit here.

Daily Gratitude Challenge Showing Gratitude 2

Day 25 of the Daily Gratitude Challenge is about showing gratitude to others.

How I Show Gratitude

Daily Gratitude Challenge showing gratitude

I like to give out compliments to my friends and random strangers – it’s amazing how much of a difference it makes when you tell someone that they have done a good job or look nice. Sometimes I don’t go about it in the right way – a woman at Sale tram station thought I was following her at first when I tried to tell her that her gorgeous floaty summer dress was beautiful – but the sentiment is there.

I work hard. If someone has given me an opportunity, regardless of what that opportunity is I always try my best. I want them to do well.

I help. If someone has gone out of their way to help me, I will return the favour and more.

Unexpected presents, just because. If I find something that I know someone will like I enjoy surprising them. I get a bit of a kick from seeing their face when they open it.

Cards. The Bloke and I have hundreds of cards that we have written to each other over the years.

I tell people when they have made a difference in my life, particularly if they have offered great advice that has changed my perspective or had a positive impact.

And perhaps the most simple of all… I say thank you. I’m still amazed at how many people don’t use basic manners when going about their day.
