You’ve done it. Your book has been planned, drafted, written and re-written multiple times, sent to beta readers, sent to an editor and re-written again. You’ve created a cover design or hired someone to create one for you, suggested some changes and approved the updated version. You’ve formatted it, put together a launch plan and then, (finally), your shiny new book is published!
Now what?
Authors have always been a community that I enjoy working with as a social media manager. I love the creativity and enthusiasm that authors have for their books and the characters they have created, and I have been introduced to the world of bookstagrammers and reading communities that delight in sharing their thoughts on their latest reads.
As the importance of social media has grown in terms of reaching a wider audience and converting them to sales, what I have discovered is that many authors struggle with the promotion and marketing of their new book, particularly when deciding on what imagery to use.
The issue isn’t that they don’t know what it is they want, but it is more having the time, the resources and the money to make their vision become a reality. Many don’t know where to start. What props should be used? Should I buy some lighting? Do I need backgrounds? What resolution should I be using on my social media? Professional photoshoots are wonderful, but usually super-expensive.
Here’s where I can help!
