Keepers is Here!

In my naivety I thought that publishing a novel was a reasonably straightforward process – write, edit, publish, done – but following my blog friend Sacha Black’s journey as she was writing her first fantasy book made me realise just how wrong I was.

And now, KEEPERS IS FINALLY HERE and I am so excited to read it!

Here’s the blurb…

Eden’s life is balanced… until her soul is bound to her enemy. Continue reading

Blog of The Day: Jolene from Valley Girl Gone Country

Are you an indie author who is looking for a respected book blogger to review your latest creation? Do you enjoy reading about others experiences and adventures? Their life? Pets? Do you like blogs that make you laugh? Or beautiful photography?

Meet Jolene, from Valley Girl Gone Country.

One of the very first bloggers that I met when I started Suzie81 Speaks was Jolene. She had commented on a number of my posts and over time this h

as extended to emails and personal Facebook pages, Christmas cards and presents and we have built up a friendship that I value very much, despite living about 6000 miles away from each other. We have a lot in common, and I only wish that she lived around the corner so we could meet up for lunch in our spare time rather than having to write it all down!

Jolene is a wonderful blogger and human being. Her ‘About’ page makes me smile:

I just turned 40; I am a wife of a very sweet southern gent who finally managed to sweep me off my feet. It took him awhile, well to be honest it took us a while to find our way back to one another, but we are together now and loving our life. I’m also a mother of three awesome kids, well, they aren’t kids anymore as they range from 18-24 yrs old. I can’t begin to tell you how proud I am of them!!

When I’m not working or hanging out with the husband, you can usually find me tending to my flower garden, hanging with my fur kids, feeding the country critters behind our fence or writing but 80% of the time I’m reading. I’m a bibliophile through and through.

I recently combined my passion for reading and writing and started reviewing ARC for amazing authors and posting my review on my blog along with other social media outlets……I see it like this, if I am in the midst of a serious book hangover and I can’t stop talking about it to my friends and family then why not spread the word to other bookaholics like myself?

This blog is about the goings on in my life… may (the exes) say it’s “one sided”, but I believe it not to be – I will throw myself under the bus and admit that I screwed up if need be. Again, this is my blog and I will write how I see it…..the good, the bad and the ohhh so funny!

Over the last year, Jolene has become a respected book reviewer and blogger. She adores books of lots of different genres, has built a solid reputation amongst the indie author community and her reviews are well written and interesting. I adore her stories about her daily adventures and travels, being hugely jealous recently when she posted her pictures about spa weekend with her closest friend in Las Vegas.

Jolene is loyal, caring, supportive and a wonderful human being, having provided me with lots of solid advice and guidance over the last few years. If you are looking for a strong female blogger in your life, then she is the one for you!
