Boost Your Blog and Social Media Using My Management Services!

Blog and social media management services

Of all of the blogging regrets that I have, my lack of knowledge when developing my blog and hesitation when setting up my social media accounts are the biggest. Why?

Because my social media is now responsible for HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of referrals of my total views.

The problem with social media is that, during the initial set-up in particular, it’s incredibly time consuming, even when using schedulers. Posting a blog post now doesn’t just involve pressing the publish button – I think about keywords, create a pinnable image for Pinterest and then pin it, tweet it using specific hashtags, stumble it, share it on Flipboard and then share it again into specific Facebook groups. I then use my BoardBooster Pinterest scheduler to incorporate my latest post. How, when and where I share it will depend on the specific day and time so that they get the maximum audience. Blog Of The Day: Two On A Rant

imageMeet Joelle LeGendre!

She’s the co-creator of Two On A Rant, author extraordinaire and all round supportive and friendly blogging enthusiast.

Her ‘About’ page makes me smile:

If there are annoying people, places or things…if there is minutia that needs to be beaten to death, Joelle is out there–in more ways than one. If you’re looking for relaxing reading, something to soothe your frazzled nerve endings, or something to fall asleep with, you’re in the wrong blog.

I can relate – as someone who gets annoyed on occasions by the little things, I find that blogging about them is a useful form of therapy!

However, this page doesn’t quite do her justice. Her layout is simple, easy to use and looks attractive, and I love the mixture of poetry and animal photography (I’m always a sucker for anything to do with happy and well looked after animals).

image

Joelle is also an established author, with her book ‘Atto Run’ being available on Amazon and Kindle. I love the description – A SciFi Cinderella comedy-romance that pokes fun at the craziness of life on Earth, & possibly elsewhere – which sounds exactly the sort of thing that I would enjoy reading! You can find her book (and her five star reviews) simply by clicking on the image – I’m sure it will be worth your time!

#SundayBlogShare – The Biggest Twitter Party Of The Weekend!

imageLast week I posted different ideas to help increase blog traffic. One of those ideas was to connect with others via Twitter in the various hashtag parties that take place throughout the week.

Here’s your chance to do just that – #SundayBlogShare is in full swing and you’re all invited to pull up a chair, grab a coffee, tweet your links and get to know the hundreds of bloggers that participate every week.

I started it in November and I’ve been delighted with the enormous response that it has received, with hundreds of bloggers participating each week, sharing over 1,500 posts and this number increases each Sunday. At the end of December I decided to be a bit more serious about it and registered it with Twubs to my Twitter handle, so the hashtag is now associated with Suzie81 Speaks. Last Sunday was the busiest yet, with lots of new bloggers joining for the first time, the hashtag trended for a short time, and I was gobsmacked when lifestyle guru Tony Robbins shared a link! Don’t believe me? Look!

image

Want to join in? It’s a simple process – post your blog links to Twitter using the hashtag #SundayBlogShare and enjoy! If you include my Twitter handles (@suzie81blog or @SundayBlogShare) in your post I can retweet it for you too! Your posts can cover any topic and you don’t have to follow my blog or any associated social media accounts. You can participate if you have been blogging for days, months or years and it’s a brilliant opportunity to develop your social networking skills and boost your traffic and following. I have received hundreds of messages from people that saw their traffic increase immediately.

I will remind everyone again each week but here are a few rules for everyone who wishes to participate.

1. #SundayBlogShare is a happy place. Racist, sexist and homophobic propaganda will not be tolerated, and if you disagree with the content of a post it should be done in a polite and respectful manner.

2. Blog posts only. NO Amazon book promos, company promos, music promos, inspirational quotes, newspaper articles, random selfies of you drinking coffee, Justin Bieber fan promotion etc… you get the idea.

3. No pornographic images are allowed and if the content of your blog focuses of erotica, please don’t use graphic words in your descriptions when promoting your post.

4. Do not use it as an opportunity to demand follows and retweets from others, but feel free to retweet posts that you like. Be generous with this – the more you READ and retweet, the more likely you will get them in return!

5. Don’t go overboard with the amount that you post… If the Twitter feed is just a list of your own posts, you’re doing it too much. Post a few, spend some time reading and retweeting others and then come back later to post again.

6. Hashtag spamming is not allowed. For those of you who participated over the last few months, you’ll be aware that because of the popularity of the hashtag, there was a high level of spam from people who used it as an opportunity to post hundreds of links within an hour, clearly using the hashtag to spam potential clients. I have contacted Twitter and Twubs, and hopefully the matter has been resolved, but if this sort of thing appears today I would really appreciate it if you would block and report them. Don’t engage with them, just block and report.

It starts each Sunday morning and will end at midnight. I’m in the UK, so you will need to work out times for whichever country you live in. This may mean that some of you may be participating on Saturday, or going into Monday, but please use the same hashtag…

Blog Of The Day: Embracing the Spectrum

imageMeet Teresa from Embracing the Spectrum.

I met Teresa through a Twitter party that we both regularly participate in, and I thoroughly enjoy her posts. Her ‘Who Are We’ gives a little information about who she, and the cast of characters in her family are. She identifies herself as ‘The Narrator,’ her husband ‘The Manager’ and her two beautiful boys as ‘Squeaker’ and ‘Big Guy.’ I love it – what a lovely family!

My name is Teresa.

Who am I? Simply put, I am a wife, the mother of two beautiful boys, and a special education teacher. My life is uniquely tied to autism and children with disabilities since my oldest son has autism and I also happen to work with children with all sorts of disabilities, including autism. I’m hoping that what I write here will provide support, encouragement, and awareness of autism and those who have individuals in their families diagnosed with autism. From my perspective, a child’s diagnosis of autism does not necessitate devastating thoughts, nor does it negate a child’s potential. This blog will talk about our day-to-day achievements and struggles as a family in which one person happens to carry a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Occasionally, I may also talk about work, especially when it comes to how work life impacts home life. The message I hope to deliver, though, is a big one. We are, first and foremost, a family. We experience ups and downs like any other family. No matter what happens, though, we never lose sight of love and hope in our journey through this life.

Her blog is beautifully written, well researched and contains not just her personal experiences and thoughts, but useful information for children with learning difficulties and disabilities. She’s a member of lots of different blog networks and has a brilliant relationship with a whole community of bloggers. She’s also been extremely supportive of my posts…

Here are Teresa’s social media links:

Twitter: @EmbraceSpectrum

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EmbracingtheSpectrum

She post regularly on both and I find it really easy to follow her posts directly through Twitter, but there are lots of options available to you for your preferred social media outlet!

Please don’t leave comments on this post – go directly to hers and share the #bloglove!

Blog Of The Day: Meet The Phil Factor!

image

Meet Phil, author and creator of The Phil Factor.

When I started Suzie81 Speaks nearly two years ago, Phil was one of the first blogs that I followed. Why? Becase both Phil (and his blog) is utterly fantastic.

His ‘About’ page made me smile:

Hi there, thanks for reading my blog. I’m The Grand Poobah of Leisure and the author of the humorous, murder-mystery novels White Picket Prisons and The Sneaker Tree as well as the humor book Fifty Shades of Phil. I’m a father of three, husband to one, and life-long smart ass to many. I’ve been well trained by my two dogs and a cat and am a loyal servant to them all. I’m an excellent ping-pong player and I make the best grilled cheese sandwiches in the world, bar none. I have a Master’s degree in Psychology and spent many years working in the field of mental health before realizing that stringing words together might be a little bit more fun. My first fiction novel, White Picket Prisons, is an ode to the life-long friends that I grew up with and still keep in touch with to this day.

However, (sorry Phil), it doesn’t quite do him justice. Phil’s posts are hilarious, intelligently written and eclectic and during my blogging adventures I have stolen more ideas from ideas from his blog than I have anywhere else. I love the fact that his it doesn’t have a niche – you never know what he is going to discuss next – and he has created a welcoming place where it is possible to talk about anything and everything without judgement.

If you do nothing else today, follow this blog – I promise that it will be time well spent.

You can also find Phil on these social media sites:

Twitter: @ThePhilFactor

Phil’s novel, ‘The Sneaker Tree’ is also available on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble.

Blog of The Day: Meet Nancy Roman!

image

Meet Nancy Roman!

Nancy is a published author, blogger and all-round glamorous lady. Her blog, ‘Not Quite Old’ is a new-found favourite of mine and I have enjoyed getting to know Nancy through her witty and beautifully written observations on her life and those around her. She’s hilarious, and her posts have had me in stitches!

Her ‘About’ page is short and succinct:

I’m Nancy Roman.

I’m sixty-four, and I’m looking (sometimes desperately) for that sweet balance between growing old gracefully and staying as young as possible.

An English Major with an M.B.A., I’m a financial executive who likes my day job. I live in Connecticut with my husband and several well-nourished cats.

My novel, JUST WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED, is available on Amazon.

image

Clearly, just looking at her picture alone, Nancy has obviously discovered the secret to eternal youth as I think she looks fantastic! She started blogging at 60, she has recently celebrated her birthday and every year shares the same selfie, both for affirmation and defiance against Mother Nature. I like that – she’s a self-assured and confident woman with a great sense of humour and I think you’ll absolutely love her blog!

Find her on Facebook here:

Nancy has recently published her first Novel, ‘Just What I Always Wanted,’ which you can find on Amazon here:

Don’t forget that this is my week of #bloglove and I’d love you to share the love and for you all to check out her blog – I’ll be reblogging one of her posts later in the day too and I’m sure you’ll find it as great as I do!

Blog of the Day: Meet Sheila Blanchette!

imageMeet Sheila Blanchette!

Sheila and I have only recently become bloggy friends. With a name that instantly made me think of heroines from ‘Gone With the Wind,’ Sheila is an American writer, author and blogger and I absolutely love her writing style. Her ‘About’ page is one of the best that I have ever read:

I have an edge. Sarcasm and irony are two of my favorite things.

I am a wide eyed optimist. I love a happy ending.

This is the dichotomy that is me. Lou Reed meets Jack Johnson.

Those three lines are from a piece I wrote for the Huffington Post where I am a guest contributor.

I also like music. All kinds of music. When I wrote that second line about my favorite things, my mind immediately jumped to The Sound of Music. Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens

I am currently working on my third novel which includes a lot of rock ‘n roll. While you wait in eager anticipation for more on that subject, you can read my published novels. The Reverse Commute and Take Me Home. Both are available on Amazon and if you just move over to the long hallway to your right you can click on their covers and buy the books. I would love for you to buy the books.

Oh, I forgot to tell you, I am working on shameless promotion. It’s a requirement in my job description. Self published indie author. One Woman Show. We all do it. It’s the way books are sold now. Blogging, tweeting, Facebooking, Pinning and Instagramming. I am everywhere and if you travel down the hallway to the right, you will find a door leading to each and every one of those places where you can find me. I am everywhere.

image

I spent a year walking and blogging about it. It’s my year long story of exploring my new home in South Florida, a strange land indeed. It’s also a story of my becoming a writer and the inspiration I found all around me. What I Need is All Around Me. That ‘s Dave Matthews, someone I shared a brief, intimate moment with.

My perfect day would be living in Diane Keaton’s house in the movie Something’s Gotta Give. You know, the one with Jack Nicholson? Diane Keaton’s character is a successful playwright and lives in a beautiful home on the beach in the Hamptons. I want to be that woman. Writing at my desk early in the morning as the sun rises over the ocean, my coffee mug on my beautiful desk in my beautiful home designed in the style of a Nancy Meyers movie.

Sheila’s blog theme is very similar to Suzie81 Speaks – she writes about her interests, her life experiences, stories, interviews, books and her thoughts and ideas, and every post that I have read so far is beautifully expressed, insightful, full of beautiful photographs and makes me want to read more!

For those of you that are interested in any of these things (which I know thousands of you are), then I would highly recommend that you show Sheila some serious blog love!

January Round Up: An Exciting Month for Suzie81 Speaks and Advertising Opportunities

imageJanuary is usually the most depressing month for me – after the excitement of my birthday, Christmas and New Year’s Eve I often find that the start of a new year leaves me feeling as dull and cold as the weather.

I decided to approach 2015 with a positive outlook and  just one goal for the year: to take the risk. As Suzie81 Speaks does not have a theme or a niche, my posts have been eclectic and have reflected the thoughts and feelings I have experienced and the events happening at the time. I shared some blogging hints and tips for new bloggers, my ideas for beating the January blues, my thoughts on how to build self-esteem and confidence and highlighted a beautiful story that proved that there is still hope for humanity. I decided to have a bit of fun and shared stories of my dating disasters and experiences of working behind a bar. I also edited some of my photography – something that I haven’t done in a long time – and posted a beautiful poem written by Roger McGough. I have been amazed at the response that I have received to these and some of my earlier posts – my ‘Tale of a Sociopath’ post continues to be shared on StumbleUpon, two of my posts were featured on the Sits Girls ShareFest and Mumsnet Bloggers promoted my post on Fox News’s ridiculous report about the Muslim population of Birmingham as their ‘Blog of The Day.’

I also made a little promise to myself that I would develop the connections and friendships I have formed and give other members of the blogging the world an opportunity to promote themselves. I found that I had been falling behind with the comments that I received, and now instead of posting something on a particular day, I try and take the time to reply to every single one on the blog and all of the social media links that are connected with it. I have continued to host my weekly #SundayBlogShare on Twitter, which I started three months ago, and have been delighted that hundreds of people now participate every week, with over a thousand posts being shared. This week I am pleased to announce that I have a guest host for #SundayBlogShare – Gene’O from Sourcererblog (who was instrumental in the promotion of #SundayBlogShare in the early stages) has kindly agreed to look after you all this Sunday. (For those of you that are interested in participating, there will be a post later today with the information and rules).

While I made no resolutions, I decided to take Suzie81 Speaks to the next level and started advertising for sponsors. I had no expectations of the sort of response I would receive, if any at all, but within hours I was contacted by a number of bloggers. Consequently, over January I have featured both Jolene from Valley Girl Gone Country and Helena from Helena Turbridy and have been delighted by the feedback that I have received from them – both have seen a huge increase in their traffic… Even more amazing, February sponsorship is completely full and even spaces for some of March (and even a space in July) have been booked. Awesome.

Finally, to add the cherry on the proverbial cake, I was offered an really exciting opportunity the other day, which has cemented my decision to take the risk.

image

My family, my friends and, of course, The Bloke has been absolutely wonderful throughout it all. As always, the blogging community has also been there every step of the way. I’ve been blessed to have received so much support from people that I consider to be friends and have been able to meet lots of new people who have taken the time to make me laugh, encourage me and have contributed to one of the best months I have had in a long time. Thank you.

Are You Interested in Being Featured on Suzie81 Speaks?

I have decided to expand this further and offer opportunities for sponsored one-off promotion for WordPress bloggers. Each Sunday, (when my own stats usually exceed over a thousand views during the day), as well as hosting #SundayBlogShare, I will feature a WordPress blog as the ‘Blog Of The Day.’ This will include a single post about the blog, a reblog of one of your posts and promotion through #SundayBlogShare. While I obviously can’t guarantee a huge increase in your traffic and/or following, I know that my sponsors have informed me that they have indeed seen quite a significant rise in their stats on days where I have promoted their posts.

For those of you who are interested in being my ‘Blog Of The Day,’ here are my details:

Cost: £9.00. This may seem like an odd number, but I have had to add on a little extra to cover the PayPal charges. (Please take into account that conversion rates may change in countries outside of the UK).

January Stats (at the time of posting): 17,265 views

Followers: 10,425 (6,126 on WordPress, 4,179 on Twitter and 120 on Tumblr). I also have 221 followers on my Facebook page. All are growing on a daily basis.

If you wish to be featured, please email me at suzie81blog@hotmail.co.uk
